Marilyn Riggs

Marilyn Carol Riggs, age 74, of South Carolina, passed away Tuesday, September 1, 2015.

Born in Marlinton, she was a daughter of the late Ward and Edith Harper.

Marilyn was a graduate of Marshall University. She was a homemaker and a member of Simpsonville United Methodist Church. For 26 years, she was the anchor of Hot Springs Pools and Spas. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Thomas Riggs.

She is survived by her sons, Jim Riggs, and wife, Elizabeth, and Matt Riggs, and wife, Cara, all of Greer, South Carolina; and grandchildren, Jake, Abby, Zach, Gracie and Livie Riggs.

Visitation is September 3 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Thomas McAfee Funeral Home, 639 North Main Street, Green-ville, South Carolina.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Pocahontas County High School FFA, 271 Warrior Way, Dunmore, WV 24934.
