Barbara Sacks

Barbara Alice Doyle Sacks, age 72, of Bethlehem, Georgia, formerly of Green Bank, passed away June 27, 2015, at Winder Barrow Medical Center in Georgia.

Born October 31, 1942, she was a daughter of the late Elmer Bert and Violet Olive Oxley Hoover.

Barbara was a Christian by faith. She was a warehouse supervisor as well as a generous caregiver. She enjoyed making dolls, growing a garden, cooking for her family and crowds, and sewing.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Rodney William Doyle, Jr., on July 8, 1969; and two sisters, Wanda Lee Waybright in 2006, and Twila Sue Shifflett in 2014.

She is survived by her husband, Donald Bruce Sacks, of Bethlehem, Georgia; three sons, Timothy Zane Doyle, of Statham, Georgia, Gregory Scott Doyle, of Warner Robins, Georgia, and William Edward Everly Doyle, of Winder, Georgia; two step-sons, Donald Bruce Sacks, II, of Fayetteville, North Carolina, and Robin Lee-Roy Sacks, of Buckhannon; two step-daughters, Barbara Ann Sacks, of Fairmont, and Cindy Rose Bent, of Orlando, Florida; five grandchildren, Jackie, Jessica, Jennifer, Walker and Austin; five great-grandchildren, Riley, Ansleigh, Kassie, Kaleigh and William; 11 step-grandchildren; and one step-great-grandchild.

A memorial will be held Saturday, September 5, at 2 p.m. at the Frank Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Gary Reynolds officiating. Burial of the cremains will be in the Stony Bottom Cemetery.
