According to Magistrate Court records, the following individuals were either arrested or had activity in their cases.

Kalen Knudson, 33, of Marlinton, appeared in court September 15 on a charge of domestic battery. Bond was set at $5,000.

In Magistrate Cynthia Broce-Kelley’s court:

Brenna Skye Hoke, 25, of Bradshaw, pleaded guilty September 16 to charges of child neglect by parent, guardian or custodian creating risk of bodily injury – first offense and driving under the influence – second offense. She was sentenced to one year of suspended jail with credit for eight days served. She was placed on one year Day Report through the McDowell County Alternative Sentencing Program. She was assessed $650 in court costs and fines.

In Magistrate Carrie Wilfong’s court:

Ricky Jones Hodge, 47, of Marlinton, pleaded guilty September 11 to charges of driving while license suspended/revoked and speeding. He was assessed $550.50 in court costs and fines.
