According to Magistrate Court records, the following individuals had activity in their cases:

In Magistrate Cynthia Broce-Kelley’s court:

Joseph Allen Tawney, 62, of Slaty Fork, pleaded no contest February 14 to a charge of expired operator’s. He was assessed $215.25 in court costs and fines.

Bryson Allen Hill, 24, of Marlinton, pleaded guilty February 28 to a charge of illegal burning of refuse. He was assessed $215.25 in court costs and fines.

Duncan D. Brewer, 48, of Bartow, pleaded no contest March 6 to a charge of operation of vehicle without certificate of inspection or failure to produce certificate. He was assessed $185.25 in court costs and fines.

Patrick Michael Deckbar, 27, of Matthews, North Carolina, pleaded guilty February 28 to a charge of driving too fast for roadway conditions. He was assessed $185.25 in court costs and fines.

In Magistrate Carrie Wilfong’s court:

Wesley Harold Brown, 19, of Marlinton, pleaded guilty February 15 to a charge of speeding. He was assessed $205.25 in court costs and fines.

Oliver Fleet Herdman, 58, of Leon, pleaded guilty February 17 to a charge of possession of an open alcoholic beverage container in passenger area of motor vehicle on a public highway. He was assessed $215.25 in court costs and fines.

Mary Gayle Keck, 23, of Henrico, Virginia, pleaded guilty March 6 to a charge of speeding. She was assessed $190.25 in court costs and fines.
