Lewis Edward “Eddie” Lacy, 79, of Columbus, Ohio, took his heavenly journey Saturday, July 18, 2026.
Born October 9, 1946, in Seebert, he was a son of the late Ruth Frances Lacy.
Eddie was a graduate of Hillsboro High School. He proudly served his country and was a Veteran of the Vietnam War.
Never afraid of work, he had many jobs over the years, including at Denmar Hospital, Brown and Williams in Virginia, and Techni Glass in Ohio.
He was a generous person, always ready to give to anyone in need.
Eddie was married four times and was “Dad” to several stepchildren. He loved and lost several.
Left to mourn his passing are stepchildren, Marlena, Valeria and Robbie; several grandchildren; his sister, Barbara Baldwin, and husband, Gene; two nephews, Charles and Bryan, and many extended family members and friends.
Eddie was one of three Lewis Edwards in the family: Louis Edward Wheeler, his grandmother’s brother who passed away in November 1896; and Louis Edward Wheeler, his great-grandfather, who passed away in August 1869.
May Eddie rest in peace in God’s care alongside his mother, Ruth, and Grandma Emma.
