Leonard James Long, Jr., age 53, of Dunmore, passed away Sunday, September 21, 2014, at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.
Born July 22, 1961, at Marlinton, he was a son of the late Leonard James Long, Sr., and Letha Mae Smith Long.
Leonard was a member of the Church of God. He was a boiler operator for Cass Scenic Railroad for 22 1/2 years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Long, and wife, Charlotte; and a sister, Loretta Bridges.
He is survived by his wife, Agnes Grey Long; daughters, Sharon Matheny, and husband, Rusty, of Dunmore, Leatha Arbogast, and husband, Lewis, II, of Bartow, and Brenda Evans, and husband, Edgar, of Marlinton; grandchildren, Michael Long, Haylee McLaughlin, Ethan McLaughlin, Katherine Lambert, Elizabeth Arbogast, Kurt Arbogast, Sallie Arbogast, Jacob Arbogast, Joey Arbogast, Abigail Arbogast, Wendy Oscar and Cindy Oscar; brothers, Curtis Long, and wife, Alice, of Green Bank, David Long, and wife, Patricia, of Marlinton; and sisters, JoAnn Cramer, and husband, Bob, of Marlinton, Helen Mullenax, and husband, Wallace, of Bartow, Ellen Taylor, and husband, Johnny, of Harman, Louise Adams, and husband, Boyd, of Robbinsville, North Carolina, and Evelyn Brown, and husband, Tom, of Arbovale.
Family will receive friends September 24 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home in Arbovale. Funeral service is September 25, 11 a.m. at Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home with Pastor David Rittenhouse officiating. Interment will be in the Wanless Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Michael Long, Kurt Arbogast, Thomas Brown, Joshua Long, Caleb Boehmer and Rick Schoolcraft.
