CITYNET WEST VIRGINIA, LLC, a public utility, Bridgeport, Harrison County.
Petition for consent and approval to be designated as an eligible telecommunications carrier and request for expedited consideration.
NOTICE OF ETC STATUS
On February 8, 2021, Citynet West Virginia, LLC, a public telecommunications utility, applied to the Public Service Commission, pursuant to Section 214(e)(2) of the Federal Telecommunications Act of 1996, as amended, for designation as an Eligible Telecommunications Carrier (ETC) in certain areas of Barbour, Calhoun, Doddridge, Gilmer, Harrison, Marion, Marshall, Monongalia, Pocahontas, Randolph, Roane, Tucker, Taylor, Tyler, Webster, Wirt, Wetzel and Wood counties to obtain Federal Universal Service Fund (USF) support for providing certain telephony services. On May 6, 2021, the Commission granted the Citynet Petition. Citynet will provide these services under its approved trade name(s).
This notice is being provided in accordance with Commission requirements and is not for the purpose of seeking public comment or protest.
