Kenneth Matthew Mick, 79, of Durbin, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, April 22, 2021.

Born March 5, 1942, at Durbin, he was a son of the late Elmer C. and Mary Ervine Mick.

Kenny was a loving supportive husband, father, papaw, father-in-law, brother and friend. He worked as laborer, laying flagstone for years and at a couple of sawmills, including Interstate Lumber and Thick ‘n Thin Lumber Company, before retiring. He loved to hunt turkey and work in his yard and flowers. He had a smile and a laugh that will never be forgotten.

He was preceded in death by brothers, Clyde, Charles, Carl, Robert “Bobby” and Lawrence Mick; sisters, Linda Mick, Lucille Neal, Edith Curry, Mildred Knott, Maxine White, Juanita Myles and Betty Turner.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 51 years, Phyllis Tracy Mick; daughter, Melissa Sisler, and husband, Allen, of Bartow; granddaughter and the joy of his life, Emma J. Riffe, of Bartow; and sister Karen Mick Young, of Durbin.

A memorial service was held April 27, 2021 at Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home in Arbovale with Pastor David Rittenhouse and Pastor David Collins officiating.
