Judy McLaughlin

Judy Carol McLaughlin, age 60, of Crimora, Virginia, passed away Monday, June 12, 2017, at her home, following a two year battle with lung cancer.

Born September 10, 1956, at Marlinton, she was a daughter of the late Betty L. Dunbrack Friel.

Judy retired from McKee Foods Corporation of Stuarts Draft, Virginia, where she worked as an inspector. She enjoyed crocheting, traveling to the beach and spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by two infant siblings, Rebecca Ioda Friel and Charles Ernest Friel.

She is survived by her husband, David Allen McLaughlin; two daughters, Bridget Friel, and husband, Edward, of Staunton, Virginia, and Della Hydrick, and husband, Jeff, of Grottoes, Virginia; a sister, Debbie Burgess, of Marlinton; four grandchildren, Caleb Friel, Ember Friel, Phoenix Corbett and Maci Alley; two nieces; and a treasured friend, Sally Warwick, of Crimora, Virginia.

In keeping with Judy’s wishes, the body was cremated and a private service will be held at a later date.
