James Roush

James Willis “Jim” Roush, Jr., age 69, of Stony Bottom, went to be with the Lord Saturday, March 22, 2014.

Born June 9, 1944, at Charleston, he was a son of the late James Roush, Sr., and Lenora Gay Roush Totten.

James was a graduate of Dunbar High School and was a member of the Army 82nd Airborne. He was a long-time employee of Snowshoe Mountain Ski Resort.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Brenda Roush Morris.

He is survived by his wife, April Turner Roush, of Stony Bottom; sons, James E. Roush, and girlfriend, Monica L. Kerschbaumer, and Robert Roe Roush, and fiancée, Shelby A. McCauley, all of Stony Bottom; sisters, Lora Roush Colla, and husband, Nick, of Youngstown, Ohio, and Sharon Roush Cobb, and husband, Homer, of South Charleston; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends Friday, March 28, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Alexander Memorial Presbyterian Church in Stony Bottom. A celebration of Jim’s life will be held Saturday, March 29, 1 p.m. at the Alexander Memorial Presbyterian Church with Rev. Gary Pickens and Rev. Gary Price officiating. Graveside service will follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cass Volunteer Fire Department, Cass, WV 24927; or Mountain Hospice, 169 Diamond Street, Elkins, WV 26241.
