A show to support Hurricane Helene relief efforts

Friday, October 11,
7 to 10 p.m.
$5

All proceeds go toward relief efforts

Due to the devastation from Hurricane Helene, Juanita Fireball and the Continental Drifters will donate 100% of their profit, including tips, to World Central Kitchen that is feeding communities affected in Florida, Georgia and North Carolina; Beloved Asheville, an organization that has been boots on the ground around the clock getting supplies to those in need; and to the River Arts District Artists (RADA) who have lost everything.

Rivertown will also donate 100% of the entry fee to these organizations.

If you are looking for a way to help in this heartbreaking crisis, please come by Rivertown Friday, October 11, 7 to 10 p.m., drop a few bucks or a lot of bucks in the tip jar, listen to a few tunes and enjoy being surrounded by community.

Juanita Fireball and the Continental Drifters play the Appalachian string band tunes that they learned from old-timers in West Virginia, Virginia and North Carolina. The high energy of their hard-driving music will have you dancing, for sure. The band consists of Mike Burns and Jay Lockman on twin fiddles, Mary Sue Burns on clawhammer banjo, Wayne Walton on the doghouse bass, and John Sparks on guitar.
