Hilda Sharp

Hilda Grace Sharp, age 80, of Dunmore, passed away Sunday, September 7, 2014, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, Virginia.

Born July 16, 1934, at Marlinton, she was a daughter of the late Hubert Nelson Miller and Goldie Jane Miller Sharp.

Hilda was a homemaker and was of the Methodist faith.

In May 1960, she married Johnnie G. Sharp, who preceded her in death on August 21, 1967.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a step-father, Austin Kyle Sharp; a son, Johnnie G. Sharp, Jr.; and a son-in-law, Joe Bussard.

She is survived by her companion, Ben Buzzard, of Frost; three daughters, Patty Bussard, of Frost, Jackie Shirley, and husband, Donald, of Keyser, and Jane Johnson, and husband, Rick, of Winchester, Virginia; three sisters, Carol Spade, of Frost, Phyllis Ernest, of Wellsburg, and Jane Duelley, of Colliers; two brothers, Jimmy Miller, of Spotsylvania, Virginia, and Carl Miller, of Fairfield, Virginia; five grandchildren, Joey Bussard, Angela Taylor, Kisha Johnston, Richard Johnston and Matraca Shirley; nine great-grandchildren, Aaron Bussard, Ashley Bussard, Kinley Taylor, Wade Taylor, Blayton Loudermilk, Bransen Gordon, Remington Gordon, Johnny Johnston and Riley Grace Johnston; numerous nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Penny Ryder.

Family will receive friends Wednesday, September 10, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Kimble Funeral Home in Marlinton. Funeral service is Thursday, September 11, 2 p.m. at Kimble Funeral Home with Pastor David Rittenhouse officiating.
