Helen Carpenter

Helen Virginia Carpenter, age 83, of Marlinton, died Tuesday, December 15, 2015, at Peyton Hospice House in Fairlea.

Born December 16, 1931, at Boyer, she was a daughter of the late Ray and Violet Ware Rexrode.

Helen was a homemaker and a member of Central Union United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Carpenter; sons, Ronnie Carpenter and Larry Carpenter; and a sister, Martha Carpenter.

She is survived by a daughter, Teresa Potvin, of Marlinton; a sister, Catherine Callison, of Arlington, Virginia; a brother, Dale Rexrode, of Long Island, New York; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral service was December 20 at VanReenen Funeral Home with Pastor Phillip Thompson officiating. Interment was in Mountain View Cemetery in Marlinton.
