Hazel Wilfong

Hazel Virginia Wilfong, age 87, of Marlinton, died Tuesday, January 10, 2017, at Pocahontas Memorial Hospital in Buckeye.

Born June 30, 1929, she was a daughter of the late Glen and Pearl Wilfong Dilley.

Hazel was a retired cook. She was a member of the CEOS and the Marlinton First Church of the Nazarene.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert Wilfong, Sr.; a son, Delbert Wilfong, Jr.; a daughter, Rita Kerr; brothers, Lewis Dilley, Edward Dilley and Gerald Dilley; and a sister, Ruby Circosta.

She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Church, of Clover Lick; a son, David Wilfong, of Thomasville, North Carolina; a sister, Geraldine Howard, of Buckhannon; a brother, Harold Joe Dilley, of Dowagiac, Michigan; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral service was January 13 at VanReenen Funeral Home with Pastor Donny Brown officiating. Interment was in the Wilfong Cemetery near Marlinton.
