Grand Jury returns indictments against eight individuals

The Pocahontas County Grand Jury convened Tuesday, April 5, and handed up indictments against eight individuals on a variety of charges.

Arraignments in the following cases will be held Wednesday, April 13, before the Honorable Judge Robert E. Richardson:

Roger W. Teter, Jr., 48, of Dunmore – One count, possession with intent to deliver Methamphetamine, a Schedule II controlled non-narcotic substance, a felony; one count, possession with intent to deliver a Schedule III, controlled narcotic substance, Buprenorphine, a felony.

Kevin A. Withers, 38, of Marlinton – Two counts, fleeing from a law enforcement officer with reckless indifference to the safety of other persons, a felony; one count, obstructing an officer, a misdemeanor.

Charles N. Irvine, 48, of Marlinton – One count, driving revoked for driving under the influence of alcohol, third offense, a felony.

Bryan D. Thompson, 60, of Hillsboro – One count, entry of a building other than a dwelling, a felony; one count, second degree arson, a felony; one count, trespass to structure, a misdemeanor; and one count, destruction of property, a misdemeanor.

Arraignments in the following cases will be held Thursday, April 14, before the Honorable Judge Jennifer P. Dent:

Roy D. Myers, 47, of Durbin – One count, child neglect resulting in serious bodily injury, a felony; one count, child neglect creating a substantial risk of death, a felony.

Roger W. Sills, 42, of Slaty Fork – Three counts, wanton endangerment involving a firearm, a felony.

John C. Holliday, 32, of Mill Creek – Two counts, grand larceny, a felony.

Eric J. Brown, 28, of Marlinton – One count, failure to register as a sex offender, a felony.

An indictment is not proof of guilt. A person is considered innocent until proven otherwise by a jury of their peers.
