Geraldine Hester Kennedy Kelley Holland Bunker, age 70, of Malad, Idaho, passed away Friday, January 3, 2014, at Portneuf Medical Center, Pocatello, Idaho, following a heart attack.

Born February 2, 1943, at Clover Lick, she was the oldest daughter of the late Jasper C. “Jack” and Violet M. Howdyshell Kennedy.

Geraldine married Walter Eugene Kelley. They had two sons, Ferrell Gene and Thomas Olen. They later divorced.

She met and married Bernard Holland of Burley, Idaho. To this union was born a daughter, Helen Juanita, and a son, Bruce Robert. Bernard and Geraldine also divorced.

Geraldine married Charles Bunker in Phoenix, Arizona, and through their travels they ended up in Malad, Idaho. The last 10 years of her life was peacefully spent at an assisted living center in Malad Valley.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two infant brothers, Jesse Clarence and John Silas who are buried in Clawson Cemetery; a brother, Chester Wayne; and a sister, Fern Marie Klimo.

She is survived by her sons, Ferrell Kelley and Thomas Kelley, both of West Virginia, and Bruce Holland, of Twin Falls, Idaho; a daughter, Helen Holland, of Boise, Idaho; a sister, Judith Ann Burns, of Hansen, Idaho; three brothers, Thomas Ray Kennedy, of Hansen, Idaho, Joseph Henry Kennedy, of Burley, Idaho, and Eddie Roger Kennedy, of Kimberly, Idaho; and a brother-in-law, Joe Klimo, of Surprise, Arizona.

Geraldine will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Celebration of life was January 9 at Victory Baptist Church in Malad, Idaho, where she had been a member for the last 10 years and always enjoyed Pastor Jack’s sermons.

Arrangements are under the caring direction of White’s Mortuary by the Park Sunset Cemetery and Jimmy Smith of VanReenen Funeral Home at Clawson Cemetery. There will be a remembrance for Geraldine at the Friel Reunion in 2014.
