Gayle Mullenax

Gayle Marie Mullenax, age 93, of Arbovale, passed away Tuesday, June 9, 2015, at her home.

Born March 17, 1922, in Cass, she was a daughter of the late Willis Isaac Cassell and Eva Pearl Drumheller Cassell.

Gayle was a homemaker. She supported WVMR and was a member of Kerr Memorial Chapel Church. She was always willing to help those in need in her community.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Lem Mullenax; daughters, Paula Mullenax and Sandra Jean Mullenax; and brothers, Jerry Cassell and Neal Cassell.

She is survived by her daughters, Karen Senger, and husband, Gerold Senger, Jr., of Mt. Sidney, Virginia, Janice Sutton, and husband, Francis, of Arbovale, and Louise Starke, and husband, Robert, of Cass; grandchildren, Wayne Senger, and wife, Blair, Jonathan Senger, and wife, Barbara, Kara Lewallen, and husband, David, Mary Ann Cluff, and boyfriend, Jonathan, Brian Shinaberry, and Corey Rose, Seth Shinaberry, and Lora Spiker, and Joshua Shinaberry, and wife, Leah; 16 great-grandchildren; sisters, Beatrice Young, of Virginia Beach, Virginia, and Charlotte Galford, of Portsmouth, Virginia; and a brother, Grey Cassell, of Brandywine, Virginia.

Funeral service was June 13 at Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home in Arbovale with Pastor Julian Rittenhouse officiating and Pastor Gerold Senger, Jr., assisting. Interment was in the Arbovale Cemetery.
