Florence Louise Wilson Kesler, 89, of Cass, took the hand of her Savior Wednesday, May 7, 2025, surrounded by family in the comfort of her daughter’s home.

Born August 20, 1935, in Baltimore, Maryland, she was a daughter of the late Thelma Eleanor Harryman Wilson and Edwin Albert Wilson, Sr.

During her time in Baltimore, Florence worked as a typist before marrying Paul Allen Kesler, Sr. on November 13, 1954. After welcoming their two children, they soon moved to West Virginia where Florence became an accomplished Tupperware saleswoman and homemaker. She joyfully served as accompanist and vocalist at both her local church and the Green Bank Senior Center Community Choir.

Florence was a dedicated member of Mountain Top Assembly of God Church in Marlinton, later attending Hebron Baptist Church and Harrisonburg First Assembly of God.

Remembered for her gifted musicality, home-cooked meals, and infectious laughter, Florence made a lasting impact on everyone she met. She will be deeply missed by her friends and family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband; sister, Thelma Eleanor Wilson Kapcsos; and brother, Edwin Albert Wilson, Jr.

She is survived by daughter, Bonnie Louise Kesler Ferguson, and husband, Jeffrey Ferguson, of Harrisonburg, Virginia; son, Paul Allen Kesler, Jr., and wife, Nancy Icenhower Kesler, of Gridley, Kansas; five granddaughters, Carrie Kesler, Jessica Sloan, Jennifer Ferguson, and husband, Logan, Kristi Chaplin, and husband, Cody, and Kirsten Ferguson, and husband, Patrick; as well as 10 great-grandchildren, Myah, Malachi, Xaiden, Micah, Naomi, Kilian, Carter, Emery, Charlotte and Edwin.

A funeral service was conducted Monday, May 12, 2025, at Harrisonburg First Assembly of God, with the Reverends Jeffrey Ferguson and Trevor Whetzel officiating. Interment was in Wanless Cemetery in Cass.
