Pocahontas Memorial Hospital’s Rural Health Clinic is organizing its first ever Women’s Health Fair and Red Tent Event, to be held Thursday, September 6, on the hospital lawn. Events will take place from 10 a.m. until noon and will include educational seminars on a variety of topics in the Red Tent.

RHC healthcare providers Dr. Julie Hare, MD and Donna-Lidel Burley, FNP will speak on breast self-exams and vaginal care after menopause, as well as controlling PMS and menopausal symptoms without hormones. Other presentations will focus on meditation and ergonomic lifting.
B
onnie’s Bus will be on site to conduct mammograms and the RHC will provide low cost pap smears. Both of these do need appointments to be scheduled in advance, so please call our clinic at 304-799-6200.

Educational and informational exhibits from area organizations will be on site to provide information and representatives will answer questions.

Make plans now to join us for a day dedicated to women’s health and awareness. Attendance is free and door prizes will be given away throughout the day.
