Letter

Of all the majestic beauty of our great state, a panorama of elegance lies within Pocahontas County. Your bulging eyes tell a story of every man’s dreams – hunting, fishing, relaxation; it’s all here, and fall’s frost hand tempers leaves to colors beyond any artist’s imagination. With all this natural beauty God has given us, why is it that our state relaxes with the climate and our out-of-state visitor pays with his or her life? More specifically, I’m speaking about the most dangerous road hazard at Dunmore, where a one lane bridge bottlenecks traffic in a curve with a sign identifying this killer so close you hardly have time to stop your vehicle, even if you should know this bridge exists. My sympathy goes out to the family of the man killed at this bridge last Saturday. Maybe we should rename this killer to One-a-more instead of Dunmore.
