Pulpyard to Open

John F. L. Bell, Wood Procurement Forester for the Covington mill of the West Virginia Pulp and Paper Company, has announced that the Company plans to re-open their Marlinton Woodyard for the purchase and shipment of pulpwood to Covington.

The opening date has been set for September 3, 1968. Max E. White, of Minnehaha Springs, has been employed as Yard Manager and will assume responsibility for the operation of the yard when it opens.

Miss Brenda Louise Shinaberry, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur (Sonny) Shinaberry, Jr., of Marlinton, became the bride of Ray P. Warren, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Warren, Sr., also of Marlinton, on Saturday, August 10, 1968, at the Campbelltown Methodist Church.

Duncan – Miller

Miss Virginia Ann Miller and Jeryl Paul Duncan were united in marriage Saturday, August 24, 1968, at 11 o’clock in the Swago Methodist Church at Buckeye.

Born to Mr. and Mrs. Paul Layman, Jr., of Buckeye, a boy, named Brian Paul.

Born to Mr. and Mrs. Styrl Hively, of Dunmore, a son. The mother is the former Corena Taylor.

Mrs. Eva Jane Carpenter, 52, of Maidsville, a daughter of the late Adam and Myrtle Collins Fluharty. Burial in the Dunmore Cemetery.

Anthony Barnett, 83, born at Stony Bottom, a son of the late Jasper Newton and Hannah Jane Lightner Barnett. Burial in Lindsay Cemetery.

Walter A. Hively, 82, of Dunmore, a retired school teacher and farmer. Burial in the Dunmore Cemetery.

Harper J. Gum, 71, of Cass; burial in the Arbovale Cemetery.
