A building permit was given to Carrie Jack for a Jim Walter home.

They voted to buy a small mower for the Cemetery and a battery charger.

Boys and Girls in Service

In a ceremony at Headquarters Marine Corps, Arlington, Virginia, Gy. Sgt. Robert J. Workman was transferred from active duty to Fleet Marine Corps Reserve after having completed 20 years’ active service.

Upon retirement Mr. Workman has accepted a position as computer programmer and systems analyst, with Smithsonian Institute in Washington, D. C.

Miss Margaret Rebecca LaRue, 81, of Hillsboro; born at Millboro Springs, Virginia, a daughter of the late Francis T. and Agnes A. Burns LaRue. Burial in Oak Grove Cemetery.

Winters A. Dunbrack, 60, of Marlinton; a son of the late George and Harriet Ryder Dunbrack. Burial in Mountain View Cemetery.

Mrs. Mary Ethel Lockridge Herold Dixon, 76, of Petersburg, Florida; a daughter of the late Horace Moser and Mary Margaret Milligan Lockridge. Burial in the Huntersville Cemetery.

William Blakely King, Sr., 90, formerly of Marlinton; a son of the late Edwin Dorsey and Mary Margaret Vandervort King. Burial in the family cemetery at Clover Lick.

Roy Emery Cain, 78, of Huntersville; a son of the late William H. and Katie Cain. Burial in the Mount Zion Church Cemetery.

George Preston Hill, 78, of Hillsboro; a son of the late Peter and Margaret Whiting Hill. Burial in Oak Grove Cemetery.
