By Renee Picarsic
The Pocahontas County Farmers Market will open for the 2016 season Saturday, May 7, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Marlinton near the First Avenue Mini Park. Shop local and join us for some good food and fun. We will have live music featuring Trevor Jordan and Trevor Hammons of the Young and Restless Pickers. Come check out what we have to offer.
The Linwood Farmers Market will begin Friday May 27, from 2 to 5 p.m. near the Linwood Library.
New vendors welcome
Are you interested in being a vendor at your local Farmers Market?
You can get involved with the Market at any time throughout the season. We welcome anything Appalachia grown or made. Whether you raise a beautiful garden, sell live animals, do woodwork, pottery, metal work, arts/crafts, jellies/jams, baked goods, and many other things, you are welcome to sell your goods at the Farmers Market. And remember, junior vendors (under the age of 18) may set up for free. Please stop on down to the Market this Saturday and ask for Renee for more information.
We hope you will join us for the 2016 kick off season.
