The Pocahontas County Farmers Market needs your opinion.
What products would you like to see offered at the market? How would you improve the market? Fill out a customer survey next time you visit the market and receive a free button.
We have three conveniently located markets – Green Bank Market, in the parking lot of Henry’s Quick Stop, Wednesdays, 3 to 6 p.m. Linwood Market, in the parking lot of the Linwood Library at base of Snowshoe Mountain, every Friday, 3:30 to 6 p.m. Marlinton Market, near the First Avenue Mini Park, Saturdays, 8 a.m. to noon. Markets are open, rain or shine.
The Sugar Run Band will play music at Marlinton Farmers Market Saturday, August 15. Come out and enjoy a fun day.
This week at the market we will have a huge variety of tomatoes, peppers, peas and beans, squash, cucumbers, potatoes, beets, radishes, a variety of lettuces, zucchini, onions, garlic, herbs, chard, corn, cabbage, peaches, apples, berries and more.
We are more than just produce! You never know what you will find at the Farmers Market. We have farm fresh eggs, meats, seafood, lard, honey, vanilla extracts, maple syrup, jams, jellies, variety of baked goods, salt rising bread, artisan breads, pepperoni rolls, specialty cookies, granola, beeswax products, flowers, unique fabrics, quilts, potato bakers, sewing accessories, purses, specialty yarns, hand-knitted apparel, nature paintings, colorful tie dyes and soaps.
There are also a variety of promotional products available for purchase – PCFM cookbooks, totes, keychains, and T-shirts. All proceeds support your local Farmers Market.
We welcome new vendors! Come set up a stand at any of our three locations!
We are still looking for local musicians to play music at the market during the 2015 season. It’s not too late. If you are interested in playing music, please come down to the market manager’s table for more information!
