Dorothy Weatherholt

Dorothy May Rose Weatherholt, age 93, of Oak Hill, formerly of Marlinton, died Friday, January 23, 2015, at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley.

Born June 20, 1921, at Mill Point, she was a daughter of the late Ernest and Hester Grimes Rose. Dorothy was a homemaker.

She was a member of the Farm Bureau and was of the Methodist faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ruben N. Weatherholt; sons, Johnnie Weatherholt, Robert Weatherholt and Michael Weatherholt; a daughter, Carolyn VanReenen; a brother, Paul Rose; and a sister, Francis Sharp.

She is survived by two daughters, Judy Weatherholt Stewart, of Oceana, and Roanna Cornett, of Beckley; a son, Roger Weatherholt, of Frutia, Colorado; 15 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral service was January 27 at VanReenen Funeral Home with Pastor Sam Felton officiating. Interment was in Mountain View Cemetery in Marlinton.
