Dallas Widney

Dallas March Propst Widney, age 94, of Lewisburg, formerly of Frank, passed away Monday, September 3, 2018, at Peyton Hospice House in Fairlea.

Born March 4, 1924, at Frank, she was a daughter of the late James Rankin and Eva Mae Simmons Propst.

Dallas was a member of Old Stone Presbyterian Church. She was a member of the Eastern Star and a homemaker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Junior Widney; and a sister, Nola M. Fain.

She is survived by a daughter, Candice Long, and husband, Tom, of Covington, Virginia; sons, Stephen Hiner, and wife, Nancy, of Fredericksburg, Texas, Jon S. Widney, and wife, Connie, of Gilbert, Arizona, and Douglas Widney, and wife, Kaye, of Fairmont; grandchildren, Christopher Long, and wife, Jayne, Jason Long, and wife, Jennifer, Amy D. Widney, Evan D. Widney, and wife, Molly, Heather Hiner and Chad Hiner; and great-grandchildren, Kaelyn Long, Corbin Long and Ashley Hiner.

The family would like to thank the staff of the Seasons Place and Peyton Hospice House for the professionalism and kindness during their difficult time.

Graveside service will be held Sunday, September 9, 2 p.m. in Arbovale Cemetery with Pastor David Rittenhouse officiating.
