Dallas Jackson “Jack” Tacy, age 81, of Buckhannon, passed away Sunday, November 29, 2015, at United Hospital in Clarksburg.

Born June 20, 1934, in Cass, he was a son of the late Ollie Joseph and Rella Grace Cassell Tacy.

Jack was a retired plumber for the City of Baltimore, Maryland.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Sharp.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth E. Tacy; a daughter, Arlene Sue Grantland; sons, John Fitzgerald Tacy, Michael William Tacy and Thomas Sterling Tacy; a step-daughter, Karen Thomas; step-son, Sam May; grandchildren, John Grantland, Crystal Buss, Melissa Buss, Jennifer Buss, Chelsey Buss and Aerial Tacy Buss, Josh Tacy, Destiny Tacy, Sterling Tacy, Lillian Tacy, Seth Tacy, Shaun May, Jennifer Helvig and Angela Campbell; great-grandchildren, Emma Grantland, Jacob Grantland, Briana Tacy, Nathan Tacy, Samaya Tacy, Jaden Tacy, Reagan Buss, Gage Buss, Karen Thomas, Nicole Campbell, Kaden Campbell, Joshua Campbell, Selena Abbott, Timothy Abbott and Cody Abbott; a sister, Judy Spear; and a brother, Charles Tacy.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 19, 11 a.m. at The Way of Holiness Church in Buckhannon with Pastor Jerry Murrell officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Burial of Jack’s ashes will be held June 18, 2016, in the Tacy Cemetery in Cass.
