Amon Tracey

Amon Lowell Tracey, age 80, of Slaty Fork, died Monday, December 7, 2015, at his home.

Born August 19, 1935, at Mace, he was a son of the late Frank and Grace Ellen Mace Tracey.

Amon was a retired coal miner and was of the Methodist faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Lyle Tracey, Wallace Tracey and Forrest Tracey; and three sisters, Virginia Crawder, JoElla Simmons and Shirley Jean Sharp.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Ray Tracey; daughters, Lark Pritt, of Orlando, and Barbara Hardesty, of Oakland, Maryland; sons, Steve Tracey, of Baynard, and Danny Tracey, of Orlando; step-sons, Mickey Ray, of Belington, and Jeffrey Ray, of Elkins; nine grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

Funeral service was December 8 at VanReenen Funeral Home with Pastor Anna Fretwell officiating. Interment was in the Mingo Cemetery in Mingo.
