Cub Scout Pack #33 hosts annual Father-Son Bake-off

Cub Scout Pack #33 held its annual Father Son Bake-off and Blue and Gold Banquet Sunday at the Community Wellness Center in Marlinton with 95 people in attendance.

Ben Wilfong was the auctioneer for the event which raised nearly $1,400.

Pack Leaders are Sam Gibson, Brad Dunz and Jennifer Dunz.

Judges for the bake-off were Erin Lore, Bill Jordan, Kendall Beverage and James Shepherd.

Donations were also made by: Darren Jackson/State Farm Insurance, Glades Building Supply, John Combs, Doris and Don Arthur, Ben Wilfong and Kayla Jordan, Paul and Jamie Hill, and Randy and Kathy Irvine.

Pictured l to r: Dillon Dunz and Brad Dunz took first place in the Cookie/Candy Division, and their entry was purchased by Burns Motor Freight employees. Colten Luikart and Austin Sharp placed second; Pendleton Community Bank, purchaser. Owen Barb and Paul Barb came in third; Woodford Oil Company, purchaser.
In the Pie Contest: Colten Luikart and Austin Sharp took first place; Roger Trusler, purchaser. Christy Waugh and Bailey Peters, second place; Christy Waugh/Scottie Peters, purchasers. Caleb Ritter and Justin Ritter, third place; Justin Ritter, purchaser.
Bring on the Cakes: Levi Hill and Paul Hill took home first place; Mitchell’s Chevrolet purchaser. Luke Gainer and Greg Gainer second place; Michael C. Doss, Attorney at Law, purchaser. Nicholas Small and Brian Kelly third place; Performance Chevrolet Motor Sales, purchaser.
Best of Show: Mason Simmons and Jimmy Simmons received the Best of Show Award; Performance Pre-owned Auto, purchaser.
