According to Pocahontas County Circuit Clerk Connie Carr, the following hearings were held June 27 before the Honorable Judge Jennifer P. Dent:

A status hearing was set for July 12 in the case the State vs Lenna Woodhouse, 43, of Marlinton. Woodhouse was indicted on Three Counts, Delivery of a Schedule I Controlled Non-Narcotic Substance; and One Count, Delivery of a Schedule IV Controlled Substance.

Jeffrey Allen Hill, 52, of Lewisburg, waived his right to a speedy trial. A status hearing is set for August 8. Hill was indicted on One Count, Malicious Assault; One Count, Attempted Murder; and One Count, Second Offense Domestic Battery.

Leo Woodhouse, 53, of Marlinton, waived his right to a speedy trial, and defense counsel asked for more time to prepare.
Status hearing is set for August 8. Woodhouse remains on current bond. He was indicted on One Count, Delivery of a Schedule I Controlled Non-Narcotic Substance; and One Count, Conspiracy to Commit a Felony.

A motions hearing was held in the case the State vs Robert E. Kilmer, 50, of Caldwell, wherein the court granted a defense motion to amend the indictment to reflect the defendant’s correct name, which is Robert E. Kilmer, Jr. The court also granted defense motions to withdraw electronic intercept, bill of particulars, a motion in limine to exclude evidence and a motion for disclosure. Trial is set for September 20. Defendant remains on current bond.

A continuance of trial was granted in the case the State vs Anna Faye Sheets, 50, of Marlinton. Pretrial is set for September 5. Sheets was indicted on Two Counts, Delivery of a Schedule III Controlled Narcotic Substance; One Count, Delivery of a Schedule II Controlled Non-Narcotic Substance.

A motions hearing in the case the State vs Amanda Bennett, 32, of Marlinton, was held June 28 before the Honorable Judge Robert E. Richardson. This was a continuation of a June 25 hearing for which the defendant failed to appear. The court ruled that Bennett could be released from the Tygart Valley Regional Jail and returned to previous bond. A continuance of trial was granted. Bennett was indicted on One Count, Delivery of a Schedule II, Controlled Non-Narcotic Substance.
