According to Pocahontas County Circuit Clerk Connie Carr, the following cases were heard March 15 before the Honorable Judge Jennifer P. Dent:
In a modification of sentence hearing the court granted a furlough to Joseph L. Thompson, 25, of Hillsboro, to enter into a program at Anchor Point Logan Mingo Mental Health and Rehabilitation. Thompson will return to the Tygart Valley Jail once the program is completed.
Christina M. Giese, 34, of Arbovale, tendered a written plea agreement to the court wherein she pleaded guilty to the felony charge of uttering and the State dismissed the remaining charges. The matter was referred to the probation department for a pre-sentencing report. Sentencing is set for May 17. Geise remains on current bond.
