‘Build a Better World’ Summer Reading Program begins June 12

YOU CAN’T RIDE a roller coaster in Pocahontas County, but you can build one during the Summer Reading Program. The week-long, Build a Better World program is scheduled for June 12 – 16 at McClintic and Hillsboro libraries. Photo courtesy of Peggy Owens

The 2017 Summer Reading Program at Pocahontas County Free Libraries kicks off June 12 at McClintic and Hillsboro libraries, and will be in session every day that week – June 12 through June 16.

The McClintic Library program will run from 10 a.m. to noon; and the Hillsboro program will be in session from 1 to 3 p.m.

The theme of the program is “Build A Better World,” and each day will cover a new topic.

Monday – Build a better world with Structures

Tuesday – Build a better world with Science and inventions

Wednesday – Build a better world by Recycling, Caring for the Environment and Gardening

Thursday – Build a better world through Art and Physical Fitness

Friday – Build a better world with Kindness

Read, Create, Learn, Explore, Build, Have Fun!

Snacks will be served.
