Blanche P. Morrison, age 92, of Minerva, Ohio, died Monday, September 8, 2014, in St. Luke Lutheran Community in North Canton, Ohio.

Born September 20, 1921, at Slaty Fork, she was a daughter of the late Lake and Phoebe Hamrick Phillips.

Blanche retired from Denny’s Market in Minerva, Ohio, and she was a housewife. She was a member of the Minerva United Meth-odist Church, the Rebekah Lodge and the Daughters of America. She was Ms. Minerva in 1957.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Burton Morrison, who died in 1977; three sons, Dwayne, Bradley and Steven Morrison; a sister, Ruth Smith; a half-sister, Maude Phillips; two brothers, Brantie and Dale Phillips; and half-brothers, Clark, Guy, Roy and Coy Phillips and Virgil Hamrick; and longtime companion, Paul Dickerhoff.

She is survived by a daughter, Jackie Davison, and Sara Mahan, of North Canton, Ohio; a son, Dennis Morrison, and wife, Mich-elle, of Canton, Ohio; daughter-in-law, Geneva Morrison, of Alliace, Ohio; a brother and sister-in-law, Claude Phillips and Lou Ellen, of Marlinton; four grandchildren, Amanda Morrison, Kristen Blevins, and husband, Keith, Judd Morrison, and wife, Shannon, and Austin Morrison, and wife, Lindsay; and three great-grandchildren, Emilee, Haiden and Kaley.

Funeral service was September 13 at Minerva United Methodist Church with Rev. Harley Wheeler officiating.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
