Barbara Darlene “Bobby Dew” Ryder, 79, of Thornwood, passed away Friday, October 2, 2026, at United Hospital Center in Clarksburg.

Born May 29, 1947, in Thornwood, she was a daughter of the late Tracy and Salley Starks Lambert.

Bobby Dew was a member of the Thornwood Community Church, she enjoyed working in the woods with her husband and family; she was a homemaker, loved to help anyone who needed help, and she made sure no one went hungry.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alton James Ryder; two children, Ruby Warner and Tracy Ryder; grandchildren, Lauren Hedrick, Autumn Ryder and Jordan Moyers; brothers and sisters, Virgil Lambert, Mildred Johnson, Lowel Lambert and Bonnie Stull.

Bobby Dew is survived by a son, Rocky Ryder, and companion, Amanda Moyers, of Thornwood; five grandchildren, Jennifer, Selena, Sally, Colin and Preston; five great-grandchild- ren; one great-great-grandchild; five sisters, Dorothy Warner, of Circleville, Thelma Smith, of Durbin, Maryilyn “Nita” Lambert and Susie Lambert, of Bartow, and Sally Lovelace, of Dunmore; one brother, Allen Lambert, of Frank; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held Friday, October 9, 2026, 1 p.m. at Thornwood Community Church in Thornwood with Pastor William Vandevender officiating. Burial will follow in Lambert Cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday, October 8, 2026, at Thornwood Community Church from 6 to 8 p.m.
