Allen Shiflett

Allen Lee Shiflett, 81, of Green Bank, passed away Saturday, August 28, 2021.

Born October 9, 1939, in Durbin, he was a son of the late John Lawrence and Letha Mae Curry Shiflett.

Allen was a retired baker with Safeway Supermarkets with 30 years of service. He was a US Army Veteran and was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Leona Sheets, Grace Varner and Margaret Hill; and brother, John Lawrence Shiflett, Jr..

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Anise Peck Shiflett; sons, Jeffrey Allen Shiflett, and wife, Denise, and Scott Allen Shiflett, and wife, Heather, of Churchton, all of Maryland; grandson David Allen Shiflett, of Churchton, Maryland; and brother, Jim Shiflett, and wife, Alice, of Frank.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, September 4, 2021, at Wallace and Wallace Funeral Home with Pastor David Rittenhouse officiating. Burial with military honors by the Pocahontas County Veterans Honor Corp will follow at Bethel Church Cemetery on Back Mountain.

Friends may call from 1 p.m. until time of service on Thursday, September 4, 2021.
