A different kind of Space Race

The annual Space Race Rumpus was held last weekend at the Green Bank Observatory with avid cyclists of all ages converging on the area to enjoy scenic rides and friendly races.

Short Track race results:

Boys 10 and under – first place, Braden Kuhn; second place, Briar Smith; and third place, Sam Huber.

Girls 10 and under – first place, Mary Huber; second place, Hallie Riddle; and third place, Tessa Johnston.

Young men 11-16 – first place, Iam Johnston; second place Max O’Ganian; and third place, Quincy Millar.

Men 17-49 – first place, Joey Riddle; second place, Ryan Miracle and third place, Paul Marganian.

Women 17-49 – first place, Mandi Riddle; second place, Natasha Wittekind; and third place, Erica Engquist.

Men 50 and above – first place, Dave Huber; second place, Allen Dent; and third place, Dave Frayer.

Time Trial results:

Boys 10 and under – first place, Braden Kuch; second place, Sam Huber; and third place, James Broniszewski.

Girls 10 and under – first place, Tessa Johnston; second place, Hallie Riddle; and third place, Mary Huber.

Young men 11-16 – first place, Iam Johnston; second place, Max O’Ganian; and third place, Willie O’Ganian.

Young women 11-16 – first place, McKenna Woody; and second place, Elisabeth Wilfong.

Men 17 and above – first place, Mike Anger; second place, Joey Riddle; and third place, Ryan Miracle.

Women 17 and above – first place, Mandi Riddle; and second place, Erica Engquist.

Men 50 and above – first place, Allen Dent; and second place, Dave Frayer.
