Escaped Convicts
Two convicts, Delmar Clair Grett, 29, and Wayne Clyde Jenkins, 23, from the Medium Security Prison at Huttonsville escaped in Marlinton Sunday afternoon after they played in a ballgame here (they won). Dogs found them on the Stillwell hill Sunday night but they escaped toward the river and hadn’t been found Wednesday.
They were imprisoned for breaking and entering.

Born to Mr. and Mrs. Samuel M. Arbogast, of Brunswick, Maine, a daughter, named Leah Lynette.
DEATHS
Austin J. Sharp, 82, of Frost; a son of the late Charles O. W. and Mary Amanda Grimes Sharp. Burial in Mountain View Cemetery.
William C. Cleek, 79, of Hillsboro; born in Randolph County, a son of the late John and Nancy Mayse Cleek. Burial in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
Carol Virginia Tyree, 29, of Alexandria, Virginia. Born at Marlinton, a daughter of Agnes Sharp McCould and the late John Sharp. Burial in Mountain View Cemetery.
Baby Phillip Marshall Moore, infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Morris Moore, of Lititz, Pennsylvania.
William Edgar Gribble, 68, of Durbin; burial in the Arbovale Cemetery.
Mrs. Cleo Simmons Crawford, 82, of Blue Sulphur Springs. Born at Sunlight, a daughter of the late Samuel P. and Martha Knight Simmons.
