Peggy A. Landis, age 72, of Hillsboro, passed away Tuesday, January 20, 2015, at Pocahontas Center in Marlinton.
Born October 14, 1942, at Marlinton, she was a daughter of the late Andrew James and Grace Biggs Broyles.
Peggy was a member of the First Baptist Church of Huntersville. She was a homemaker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by an infant son, Ronald Lee Landis; great-granddaughter, Aleah Barnisky; three sisters, Patty Puffenbarger, Lilly McClure and Polley Dilley; and five brothers, Russell Broyles, Pete Broyles, Bobby Broyles, Larry Broyles and Bernard Broyles.
She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Ray Landis; two daughters, Rayetta Barnisky, and husband, Thomas, of Marlinton, and Mandy Martin, and husband, Dave, of Ravenswood; a son, Andy Landis, and wife, Sheila, of Marlinton; four sisters, Marie Hannah, Nancy Broyles, Barbara Broyles and Brenda Broyles, all of Marlinton; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
In keeping with Peggy’s wishes, the body was cremated.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
