Dallas Walker, age 68, of Buckeye, formerly of Coal City, passed away Monday, February 3, 2014, at CAMC following a short illness.
Dallas retired from Flowers Baking Company. He was a member of the United States Army and was a Vietnam Veteran. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine, and her daughter, Amy Dalis; his parents, Emery “Duck” and Irene Bolen Walker; sisters, Nioka “Susie” Walker Hardin and Rayola Walker Nance; and a brother, William “Mack” Walker.
He is survived by a daughter, Lori Walker Pack, and husband, Casey, of Beckley; a grandson, Kristopher Caleb Pack, currently attending Marshall University; a granddaughter, Alison Kate Pack, still residing at home. Also surviving are Elaine’s children; sisters, Hope Walker Gillespie, of Coal City, Roberta Carol, of Beckley; brothers, Dan, and wife, Connie, of Beckley, Qunicy Oran, and wife, Joyce, of Radford, Virginia, John, and wife, Evelyn, of Christiansburg, Virginia, and Mickey James, and wife, Lynn, of Beckley; and numerous nieces, nephews and a large extended family.
Funeral service is Saturday, February 8, 1 p.m. at Melton Mortuary, 1200 Harper Road, Beckley, with Paul Zutaut officiating.
