John C. Hannah, age 78, of Vermilion, Ohio, died Sunday, March 19, 2017, at University Hospitals of Cleveland following complications of unknown factors.
Born July 22, 1938, at Marlinton, he was a son of the late Sherman and Jessie Fortune Hannah. He had been a resident of Vermilion for the past 46 years, moving from South Amherst, Ohio.
John began his career on the line at Ford Motor Company – Lorain. He retired from the maintenance paint department in 1996 after 39 1/2 years.
He was a member of the UAW #425 and enjoyed hunting, fishing, shooting pool and going home to West Virginia to visit.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Lois Meadows; and two brothers, Dale and Charlie Hannah.
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Cynthia Dull Hannah, of Vermilion, Ohio; daughter, Karen Strzelecki, and husband, Michael, of Arlington, Texas; son, Steven Hannah, of Plainville, Massachusetts; grandchildren, William and Katherine Strzelecki and Cade and Alicia Hannah; brother, Jimmy Hannah, of Lorain, Ohio; and many nieces and nephews.
A private service was held.
