Hubert Lee Puffenbarger, age 85, of Hillsboro, died Thursday, July 7, 2016, at his home.
Born November 26, 1930, he was a son of the late Willie and Veva Lantz Puffenbarger.
Hubert was a retired foreman for the West Virginia Department of Highways, was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict, a member of Oddfellows, VFW and Marvin Chapel United Methodist Church.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Dottie Poage and Ann Rase; and a brother, Julian Puffenbarger.
He is survived by his wife, Jerilene G. Puffenbarger; sons, Thomas L. Puffenbarger, of Marlinton, and John D. Puffenbarger, of Hillsboro; sisters, Mildred Swab, of Titusville, Pennsylvania, and Katherine Wimer, of Richmond, Virginia; brothers, Karol Puffenbarger, of Buckeye, Samuel Puffenbarger, of Titusville, Pennsylvania, Bill Puffenbarger, of Hillsboro; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was held at Marvin Chapel United Methodist Church Sunday, July 10, 2016, with Rev. Verlin Butcher officiating. Interment, with Military Rites, in Ruckman Cemetery in Buckeye.
Memorials may be made to the Ruckman Cemetery Fund.
