COUNTY MEMORIAL HOSPITAL
At a largely attended meeting of the Executive Committee of the Pocahontas County Memorial Hospital, held last Thursday night, plans were made to continue the campaign for funds sufficient to equip, repair and enlarge the hospital.
A substantial sum in pledges has been secured, and the captains of the soliciting teams were asked to turn in all pledge cards at the earliest opportunity. As soon as the list of the persons who have subscribed can be tabulated their names will be published.
The matter of a County Memorial Hospital then be presented to those who have not subscribed to this good cause and an opportunity given them to help it along.
This writer can imagine no more graceful or fitting tribute to our soldiers and sailors through the free will offerings of the people. Then in addition there is the absolute need of a hospital in the County of Pocahontas.
