Yvonne Sturgill

Yvonne Emily Sturgill, age 80, of Cass, passed away Monday, August 21, 2017, at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center in Fairlea.

Born June 16, 1937, in Baltimore, Maryland, she was a daughter of the late Ernest and Virginia Keefer Curtis.

Yvonne was a Christian and a homemaker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Kevin Sturgill; and three sisters, Geraldine Golaski, Shirley Smith and Jeannie Moore.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Vernon L. Sturgill, of Cass; three daughters, Elizabeth Snyder and Jeanne Ortiz, both of Baltimore, Maryland, and Dreama March, of Cass; two sons, Vernon Sturgill, Jr., of Hawaii, and Larry Sturgill, of Pasadena, Maryland; a step-son, Brian Gurnsey, of Nevada; a brother, Ernest Curtis, of Pasadena, Maryland; 15 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

In keeping with her wishes, the body will be cremated. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
