Winter Educational Dinner

The Winter Educational Dinner meeting will be held at the Marlinton Municipal Building Tuesday, March 10, at 6 p.m.

The speaker will be Doug Peterson, who has been an NRCS employee for more than 25 years. Peterson began his career as a Soil Scientist.  He is currently NRCS regional soil health specialist for the states of Missouri and Iowa.  He operates a cow/calf and contract grazing operation with his father. They utilize Management-intensive Grazing and Holistic High Density Grazing to improve soil health.  Doug will talk about soil health, how it relates to farm productivity, and how to improve soil health.

Attendance at this meeting will be worth three (3) pesticide applicator recertification credits for categories 11, 12 and PA.

If you plan to attend, please RSVP to the WVU Extension office, 304-799-4852, by Friday, March 6.  There will be a $5 charge for dinner.

4-H State Weekend Camps

Registration for Dance Camp, Teen Leader Weekend and state coding camp are now open.  For more information and to register please contact the WVU Extension Office at 304-799-4852.
