Winter Educational Dinner Meeting
The Winter Educational Dinner Meeting will be held Monday, February 11, at 6 p.m. in the auditorium of the Marlinton Municipal Building.
Guest speakers for the evening will be Aaron and Tara Helmick who live on and operate Little Brown Cow Dairy, a grass-based, organic dairy operation in Monroe County. Talks will focus on incorporating summer annuals into your forage program and some alternatives to traditional grazing applicable for all types of livestock operations.
Attendance at this meeting will also be worth three (3) pesticide applicator recertification credits for categories 11, 12 and PA.
If you plan to attend, please RSVP to the extension office, 304-799-4852, by Friday, February 8. There will be a $5 charge for dinner.
WV Small Conference February 13-16
The West Virginia Small Conference will be held at the Charleston Civic Center February 13-16. In its 15th year, the conference helps small farms and farmers by providing reliable knowledge about current trends, needed skills, and the latest production information.
