Harold Crist and his family, of Arbovale, visited the Preserving Pocahontas World War II Exhibit at Sharp’s Country Store in Slaty Fork last week. Crist enlisted in the US Navy in 1943 and served until October 1946. Although he didn’t find himself in the photographs (he doesn’t remember posing in front of the courthouse), his wife identified John Matheny and Lynn Dolly, both of Green Bank.
