William Henry “Bill” Ober, age 83, of Marlinton, passed away Tuesday, October 10, 2017, at his home.
Born July 20, 1934, at Thornwood, he was a son of the late Oren and Gladys May Vandevender Ober.
William was a nurse assistant at Denmar Hospital for 29 years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Fred Ober and Elmer Ober; an infant brother; and four sisters, Vida Burris, Bertha Moats, Irene Smith and Henrietta Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Connie Sue Ober; a son, Roger Ober, and wife, Kim, of Huntersville; a grandson, Kendel Lee William Ober, of Huntersville; a step-grandson, Conlin Halterman, of Huntersville; and two brothers, George Ober, of Durbin, and Roy Ober, of Baltimore, Maryland.
Per his wishes, the body will be cremated.
A memorial service will be held Sunday, October 22, 2 p.m. at Lantz Funeral Home in Buckeye with Rev. David Rittenhouse officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
