William Lambert

William W. Lambert, Sr., age 75, of Altoona, Pennsylvania, and formerly of West Virginia, passed away Sunday, August 30, 2015, at the Hollidaysburg Veterans Home.

Born October 5, 1939, at Cass, he was a son of the late Kenna and Hazel Smith Lambert.

William was a United States Army Veteran of the Vietnam War.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Collins Lambert; a daughter, Julia Hale; and brothers, Don Lambert and Roy Lambert.

He is survived by his children, Jane Smith, and husband, Sterling, of West Virginia, Pam Tatro, and husband, Jack, and William Lambert, Jr., all of Virginia, and Jody Lambert, and wife, Dee, of Altoona, Pennsylvania; a brother, John Lambert, of New Mexico; sisters, Virginia “Gin” Rexrode, of West Virginia, and Gracie Richardson, of Virginia; 13 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in West Virginia.

The family is being served by The Good Funeral Home, Inc., in Altoona, Pennsylvania.
