William Alvin Gay, passed away Monday, August 4, 2014, at his farm on Edray of complications of wounds sustained on November 30, 1967, while serving in the United States Marine Corps in Vietnam. He was awarded the Purple Heart and was medically retired as a 1st Lieutenant in the USMC.
Family will receive friends Friday, August 8, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lantz Funeral Home in Buckeye. Funeral service is Saturday, August 9, at 2 p.m. at the Marlinton United Methodist Church with Rev. David Merryman officiating. Interment will be in the Edray Cemetery.
