Warriors 12
Wildcats 34

The Pocahontas County High School Warrior football team traveled to Franklin Friday night to take on the Pendleton County Wildcats.
The Warriors came out striking first with great blocking up front and a 30-yard run from RB Morgan Mason, followed by a 50-yard run by QB Wyatt Workman.
That put the Warriors on the board first, but the Wildcats would strike back and the score at the end of the first quarter was 6-6.
The Cats scored twice more before half-time.
Warriors score once again in the third quarter. With some key blocks by the Warrior offensive line, Drake Warder, Mark Jordan, Danny Kimble and Brady Jones, Workman, again, took it across the goal line, but the extra point attempt was unsuccessful.
Pendleton County made it into the end zone two more times in the game, bringing the final score to Pocahontas County 12 – Pendleton County 34.
Leading tackles this week were Michael Morrison with 6, followed by Mark Jordan with 5.5 and Keith Harrah 5.5. Receiving yards were Logan Dilley with 87, Briar Wilfong with 42 and Morgan Baldwin with 15.
The Warriors will have their first home game of the 2016 season Friday night, September 16.
Kick-off is scheduled for 7 p.m.
Come out, and support your boys at home this Friday night.
 Go Warriors!
